The cricket union is a blog which talks about my views on cricket and was made with the intension to write about the game and its current and futuristic scenario. The articles purely depict my views and are focused on explaining the game, the history and its evolution over time. Cricket is a game which relies heavily on analysis and that’s why some articles are only focused on previews and/ or reviews of tournaments and teams.
Everything that happened in world cricket over the past year, from the awesome to the absurd, from the big hits to the catches, from the boundaries to the drops, from the new kids on the block to those playing their final matches, and from league matches to the World Cup, my stories speak about how the game ignites several emotions on and off the field. From being a hobby for some, a passion for many and a religion for most, a majority of Indian kids grow up paying gully cricket at the back of their homes and watch every game rooting for India and screaming slogans of encouragement in their living rooms, as if they were right there in the stadium.
The Cricket Union encapsulates all these moments and more and is a small endeavour to capture my thoughts as an ardent and die hard cricket fan and as just another boy who carries the dream of playing for Team India some day!
